Or in other words...a social media manager's top nemesis. There's no greater feeling than learning how to defy an algorithm. Read on to discover several tactics to apply to your content to effectively breakthrough social media algorithms.

 

DO align your goals, strengths and brand identity to develop a social media strategy. Not sure where to start? Let's talk!

 

DO NOT be afraid to alter your strategy. It's important to stay on top of changing algorithms and trends. PRO TIP:  Take time each day to watch for and engage with trending topics relating to your brand.

 

 

DO incorporate video. Video is KEY to get your audience to stop scrolling and is one of (if not THE) best ways to engage your audience.

 

DO NOT be afraid to go live. Your livestreams can vary from Q&A sessions to behind the scenes content to new product launches. 

 

DO NOT "ask" for likes or shares. This specifically applies to Facebook, because the platform "punishes" this type of engagement baiting.

 

DO post engaging photos and graphics. Utilize bright colors and easy-to-read fonts. 

 

DO NOT post at the same time every day. Experiment with morning, afternoon and evening posts. Don't be afraid to test sending a post in the early mornings or late nights.
